South Valley

The next two stops in Utah are the two Salt Lake dealers. First off is South Valley Harley-Davidson.

South Valley and HD of Salt Lake are part of Intermountain HD (Once upon a time most of the HD dealers in Utah were owned buy the same person). When I went to get this pin they had two options (always buy both or even all three pins if they have them! You'll wish you had!) and I chose the one below. I wish I had bought both though. My father-in-law has the older pin, so I will try to get a pic/scan of it sometime. (My father-in-law has a many pins that I don't have.)

Eagles and other birds of prey are always a nice touch. The eagle logo with a little bit of mountains in the background works well. (The last pin was a set of mountains.) Like I said I tend to like the logo styled pins a bit more than the picture type ones. This pin is on my favorite list.

Let's move a little north of "northern Utah Harley." Near the northern boarder of Utah you will find Saddleback Harley Davidson. This is the sister dealer of Golden Spike. The pin I have now is a few years old (below), but I plain on heading up there this riding season to see if they have a new pin.

I usually don't like some of the more cluttered "picture" pins as much as the logo styled ones, but the cool neon and old school bike look is very cool.

Golden Spike Harley Davidson.

My home town dealer is Golden Spike Harley Davidson. They changed their name from Harley Davidson of Northern Utah to Golden Spike only a few years ago. (Good move guys.) In doing so they got a new logo which is also their pin. Below are the two current pins and an old Northern Utah pin (Sorry for the lackluster pics. I need to use a scanner for better results in the future). All of which are nice, but the Golden Spike logo is just too cool. It is one of my favorite pins.
The alternate pin from Golden Spike is a nice salute to Hill AFB. That and there is a pin up right in front of the hanger I work near/in a few years ago.
And here is the old Northern Utah pin.

Dealer Pins Intro.

A site/blog that talks about dealer pins does not exist (none that I have found in my own web travels anyway), so I decided to make one. While looking for said site I found this set of pics... and that is about it. I figure there must be someone out there like me that would like to see or hear about other dealer pins they might never see. I can only show the pins that I have, so take it or leave it.

With the way the economy is right now, it is still cheap to take a nice bike trip and pick up some HD dealer pins along the way.

No, not all of my pins are "official" i. e. I was given some and/or I got them via a car, so I will start with the pins I got from rides/trips. Beginning with my home state (Utah) pins.
